1) Competition dancers should regularly practice wearing their practice skirt
to emulate the feel of their gowns.
2) Pair your practice skirt with a dressy, stretchy shirt
for a free-feeling yet elegant look at dance parties.
3) Syllabus level amateur dancers can wear their practice skirt with a dressy, stretchy shirt
at their first competitions.
If you plan to wear your skirt in competition,
practice in it before you wear it in competition to ensure it isn’t too long.
4) If your skirt is too long you risk catching your heel on the hem.
If the skirt is too long have it hemmed.
I’ve had this done several times and it cost less than $10.
